Seems like it would be pretty effective, they got my granny with a similar method lmaooo.
Called her with a plugged nose and claimed to be someone she knew that had just got in a car wreck, said he broke his nose and needs money for immediate surgery.
Definitely can get creative with this method, but if youre gonna use it stay away from my grandma fools
